I l love how monstrous, gruesome and utopian this book is ... love that lesbian utopia is violently passionate, because that is what being a lesbian means: a violent exile from the symbolic order where subjectivity is simultaneously impossible yet always excessive. i am thinking of how current cultural representations of lesbianism (overwhelmingly feminine and all too pretty) lacks an understanding of this exile,-Goodreads
