兒童詩 Children's Poetry
馮季眉 (Editor)Poetry is a finely crafted window. Through this window we can express the feelings that are within our hearts; through this window, we can view what is on the inside. For the child, writing poetry is not only the presentation of what is in his heart; it is also a fun kind of language game. Long sentences and exciting experiences can be condensed into a few short phrases, and then restored to their original length, shape and size by the reader.
Overseas Chinese children will naturally experience varying levels of difficulty when writing in Chinese. Yet their inner worlds are every bit as rich, pure and lovely as those of children being brought up in China. A poem written from a child's point of view, in awkward, childish language - isn't this the most genuine and most beautiful kind of children's poem? What follows is a collection of poems written by overseas Chinese children. Although they may not all be great works of literature, these poems are full of the wonder of childhood. We hope that they will encourage children everywhere to open the windows of their souls and exchange the ideas of these inner worlds through the language of poetry.
