ASP.NET Core 2 Succinctly

There are only a few years that one can consider as landmarks of a profession, and 2016 was one for software development. That is when Microsoft released .NET Core, its third major development library and SDK. But this time, it was not just for Windows, and it was not a closed-source product. It was an open-source SDK that allowed developers to build and run .NET applications on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
This book specifically covers the web development part of the framework, ASP.NET Core, that in the meantime went through some improvements. This book will first guide readers through the foundations of the library, then cover its basic features, and finally cover the new version of the web application frameworks ASP.NET MVC and Web API. At its end, this book will show you how to deploy applications to the cloud, specifically on Azure.
The book is based on the most recent version of the framework at the time of writing: .NET Core 2.2. When showing how to develop with IDEs, it uses Visual Studio 2017 and the new text-based cross-platform IDE, Visual Studio Code.
